![]() ![]() ![]() Example 1 - Auto Shut Down with Power Automate DesktopĮver forget to shut down your computer or need a reminder to do-so before leaving work or going to bed? In this example I'll show you how to set up a very basic UI Flow to do just that, and trigger it with Power Automate. ![]() In the following sections I'll demonstrate a couple of examples of things you can do to leverage the power of Power Automate and UI Flows to make your day just a little bit easier. This is useful for a range of activities, particularly in legacy applications which don't integrate or play well with others. Unlike a Macro, UI Flows can prompt the user for inputs and are able to pass data back to Microsoft Flow. If you've ever heard of, or played with a Microsoft Excel Macro, you'll immediately recognise the power of such a capability - now imagine that it extends to your entire desktop. UI Flows allow users to design, record, and modify a set of actions such as opening software, clicking on menu items, copying and pasting information (to name a few), and then to automate the playback of those actions. They are created using Power Automate Desktop and allow users to set up automations which can interact with their computer desktop and applications. UI Flows are an extension of the Power Automate capability. The improved turn-around time of processes leads to improved output and reduced monotony of tasks.
